When Hunter Jobs Alliance first came to us – the challenge was clear… we need to talk about transition. Not about removing or replacing existing energy sources, but being pragmatic about change and the path to get there. However, this conversation is diluted by ongoing discourse from all sides of the argument. How do we push for a transition authority to deliver real tangible outcomes and change – without adding to the noise?
With the problem clearly framed, it was about understanding the community. What resonates, what is just more noise, and what did they really need to understand so the drive for a government-led transition authority could be realised? Welcome “Let’s get on with the jobs”. This proposition and campaign line removed the point scoring and put people and jobs at the centre of the message. We created a completely integrated campaign from digital, to owned channels, to TV, outdoor, press, radio – you name it we were on it. The result – a formal Transition Authority approved at the state government level.
